How Handbags come into Existence?
How did handbags come into existence? People started calling their hand-held bags as handbags by the start of twentieth century. During 1920s, purses were made that had complicated fasteners, internal compartment and locks. It was then common for women to carry a doll dressed exactly like them as a handbag. The new fashion of upper class women also changed during the period. Women started carrying designer handbags that did not match with their outfits. During World War II, women purses were made of wool as metal was saved for War supplies by the governments of the day.
Today you see designer handbags at the shoulder of most women.
