My Daughter Suffers from Allergy Induced Asthma
I have had to watch my child’s eating habits from birth, it seems. She has a whole collection of food allergies which would be a challenge in themselves. But to make things more complicated, she also has a serious problem with allergy induced asthma. Eating the wrong food can throw her into an asthma attack that requires immediate medical attention. Because she is little, I don’t allow her to go anywhere without her father or me. We monitor her food very, very closely. If we’re not positive what is in some treat, we just can’t let her have it. It’s hard to see her feel deprived, but it’s worse to see her have an attack. Hopefully she will outgrow this someday in the future.
