Government Waste
County officials drive me absolutely crazy. My husband is a sheriff’s deputy and has been for nine years now. Last night, at the dinner table, he mentioned that the department is ordering new police traffic safety vests. I think that is wonderful as the vests are for the officer’s safety. Anything that keeps them out of harm’s way is a great thing. Yet, the county is not going to shop around for these vests. They have been using the same company for decades now. When my husband mentioned how much this will cost, my mouth dropped. They are paying way too much. I’m tempted to shop around and go up there and let the county government have it. They are wasting my tax dollars by not comparing prices. It’s ridiculous.
